I am passionate about my art. We all see the world in uniquely different ways as a result of our personalities and life experiences. Art to me is expressing that difference. It is also about pushing out one's own boundaries, ever trying always questioning, never being afraid to look at things from a new perspective. I start drawing with a brush, sometimes putting on thin washes of paint, other times using it straight from the tube It can be so frustrating yet so exciting as I work the media, then something seems to happen and my energy and mood is captured within the painting. I love exploring the various mediums and am known to use charcoal, pencil, wash and crayons but to paint in oils is something else. One can move from moody blues to vibrant colours, from thin washes to thick and creamy paint, from delicate marks to strong brush strokes or indeed use the palette knife.
